Huawei is also taking its step ahead in the wearable segment with its Honor branded Bands. The newest addition in this segment is Honor Band 4 and Honor Band 4 Running Edition. Both the bands were officially unveiled by the company in its latest launch event of Honor 8X and 8X Max. Honor Band 4 and 4 Max are said to go on sale from September 20, in China.
Both the wearables are water-resistant in nature and boast a tremendous range of next-gen features. According to BGR, Band 4 is just an upgrade to Honor's existing Band 3, in terms of design. It boasts a non-replaceable band. Honor Band 4 flaunts a revamped AMOLED color display sized at 0.95 inches coupled with 2.5D curved glass, whereas Band 4 Running comes with a 0.5-inch monochrome OLED display setup. Band 4 will be powered by a 100mAh battery, which can run up to 6 days at a single full charge. Another intriguing thing about these wearables is that both come with a new and innovative "Huawei TruSleep" feature, which can track the sleeping timeline of the users.
The device can also track the heartbeat rate of the users. If both the TruSleep and Heart sensor features are kept off, then according to the company's claims, both the watch can serve power backups up to 14 long days, just a day less than half of a month. Honor Band 4 Running appears to be as a smaller instance of Honor Band 4. Band 4 Running comes with a replaceable band setup. It holds a 77mAh smaller sized battery which can keep it charged up to 12 days at a stretch. The band is water resistant up to 50 meters, as per a report by Gadget360.
Additionally, Honor Band 4 Running holds a 6-axis sensor which generates all improved running status of daily usage by measuring cadence, step length, ground contact time, foot strike pattern, landing impact, eversion excursion, and swing angle. It has even been dubbed by the company as a spectacular fitness wearable.
Honor Band 4 is available in three color variants namely, Black, Blue, and Pink. Whereas, the lighter Honor Band 4 Running has a wide range of color options: Black, Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and Yellow. The pre-order window for both Honor 4 and Honor 4 Running edition has been activated by Honor at Vmall. Initially, the wearables will be shipped to China only, starting on September 20. Although, Honor authorities have not specified any particular date for its global release.
