Players have mined data regarding "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" and discovered a new map -- one that's covered in snow and appears to have details that snipers will enjoy.

While a snow-covered map is already expected to come soon according to the E3 2018 trailer's ending, not much is known about it until some data miners unearthed some details about it, Digital Trends reported. Now, players are getting excited for the map ahead of its release.

The map, posted on Reddit, is named "Dihor Otok." It appears like a flipped version of another PUBG map, Sanhok, but will be about four times larger. This one, however, will be largely covered in snow.

Sanhok and Dihor Otok might have similarities such as gaps in the middle, but since this map is larger it has more bridges and a lot more playing field. There are about nine bridges (one of them connected to two shorter bridges after passing through a structure, sort of like a fork in the road) that players can use for moving from one location to another location.

Dihor Otok features also snowy raised areas and buildings scattered in different locations, which might provide good vantage points for snipers. Some note that watching for enemy players in snowy areas won't be easy, but that will simply add to the challenge of being a sniper.

Some blank areas, found near big facilities, also seem like good hunting areas for players who want to practice their sniping and long-range firing skills. The bridges themselves will be good areas to snipe.

Players mining data also discovered a few interesting details. Some structures included towers, barns, sheet metal facilities, and explosives. If these details are true, then the map will be more than just a sniper's paradise; it will be one great map where all players can be challenged by sniper shots and explosives set to explode in unexpected places.

These leaked details add to the excitement, which is obvious in player forums. Some ask if vehicles like snowmobiles or other transport methods like cable cars will be included. Some would even want to see if the skies will be made beautiful by Aurora Borealis, but so far nothing is confirmed.

Keep tuned for more updates regarding the Dihor Otok map and related details.

For now, PUBG players can enjoy Update 21, which includes a new training mode, a rewards system, a new weapon and attachment (the MK41 and laser sight), and the Tukshai, a Sanhok-exclusive vehicle.
