Apple has already evolved a wide range of surprises at its latest edition of 'big event'. The company is looking forward to revamping a lot of things to its devices range, as witnessed in this launch pad. However, it is also opting to take some courageous steps by decreasing peripherals from its device package. Perhaps, the most relevant among these is the ditching of the headphone dongle, which was previously a part of its iPhone pack.

According to The Verge, the company announced that it will not ship a headphone dongle alongside its iPhones. Traditionally, Apple used to pack this external headphone dongle with its iPhone editions until the last version of iPhone 8. Apple included the fast Lightning 3.5mm audio jack adapter dongle in the box of iPhone 8 & 8 Plus, 7 & 7 Plus and the exclusive edition of iPhone X.

The company stated that this adapter dongle won't be an inclusive part of the upcoming iPhone range. However, interested Apple fans will be able to avail this headphone dongle separately. Possibly the headphone dongle will now come with a separate and extended warranty option as well. However, Apple authorities didn't say anything about any extension of offerings the peripheral's return or replacement policy.

TechCrunch regarded this ditch of headphone adapter as a step of extensive 'courage' for Apple, as according to the source the company's latest courageous takes have paid off in the right manner. Apple has managed to become the most popular mobile maker throughout the globe, and the company has continuously put efforts to stay as the number one in the smartphone industry with its trademark product 'iPhone'.

In this big event, it announced the launch of its next handset advancements: iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. Another new revamped version of iPhone 8 will also complement these smartphones.

The 3.5mm analog audio jack adapter dongle will now be sold separately with a price tag of USD 9 only. The new version of the iPhone 8 and the just-launched range of Apple smartphones namely,  iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR will not pack the headphone dongle.

This was majorly used as a connector to the 3.5mm audio jack and to charge the wireless-usable headphone when it is out battery backup. the battle royale between Google and Apple may take some twists and turns with this step, as Google didn't ditch the dongle and it still uses an audio jack when most of the smartphone makers are moving towards wireless ones.
