Nintendo has had a lot to tell about at its Nintendo Direct Presentation in Japan. As the company held a slew of announcements, one of these was the unveiling of a traditional looking wireless NES controller for its Nintendo Switch. The company is confirmed the launch o its first ever online subscription service on September 18, and this new wireless NES controller will complement the launch of the online service with its full grace, as per Nintendo.
According to The Verge, the new online subscription service will resemble those of PSN and Xbox Live, which are already in existence. However, Nintendo's service may also showcase some revolutionary advancements as per a group of game analysts. Nintendo will also give ways to a number of classic titles which will be free for all players. The first stack will hold 20 such Nintendo classic titles. The latest controller, which will be packed as a couple of two pieces will hold the nostalgic outlook of the existing Nintendo NES controllers.
Engadget quoted that the bundle pack of the new NES controllers will be sold with a price tag of USD 59.99 and this will be available on the shelves of the retail stores as well as at the Nintendo authorized online marketplaces starting from December 2018 only. However, the pre-order for the controllers will begin on September 18 only.
Nintendo of America official tweet regarding the announcement of the latest wireless NES controllers states the online version of Nintendo's newest subscription-based platform will "feel even more authentic by using the new wireless NES style controllers with the classic #NES games, available for purchase exclusively for paid Nintendo Switch Online members!"
However, fortunately, or unfortunately, no matter how it is regarded, but the buying options for this new wireless NES controllers for Nintendo Switch has been limited to only one copy per user. This has been specified in Nintendo's official web page for the same. It stated: "Limit one purchase per Nintendo Account with paid Nintendo Switch Online individual or family membership. Offer not available for trial membership."
A spokesperson also added about the selling of the latest NES controllers bundle that, Nintendo is keeping it tight to a bundle per person, having two controllers in it. Single NES controller won't be sold at all. he also mentioned that Nintendo is also not allowing any trail edition for this next-gen wireless controller bundle. It will be sold as an exclusive full-version pack only.
