Apple Watch users can now have their smart wear ready with watchOS 5. The company has finally launched its new update of the operating system for its watches. The next-gen version of watchOS was announced by Apple at its World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) which took place in San Jose in June 2018. The users can now download the new version of Apple's wearables-based operating system for free from Apple Store.
According to Indian Express, watchOS 5 is available for all suitable and new Apple watch models. The users can easily download it with the help of their Apple iPhones. For downloading and installing the new update, the users will require to update their iPhone's to iOS 12. Only then they can avail the watchOS 5 for their Apple-branded smart wearables.
For installing the update, they will require their Apple Watch to have at least 50 percent battery back up. Their watch must be plugged to the charging point when they are downloading the update on their respective smart wears. During the downloading, the wirelessly connected iPhone must be within the Bluetooth range of the watch.
The source further clarified that the Apple-branded smart wears which are eligible in accordance with their compatibility to receive the watchOS update are Apple Watch Series 1, Series 2, Series 3, and Series 4. The new OS update will bring a range of new features to Apple's watches including a Walkie-Talkie mode, new workout attributes, new watch face, and Interactive Notification feature.
The new watchOS 5 will make Siri more interactive and responsive with just a lift of the wrist. The users will no more require to say to Apple's bot: "Hey Siri!" when they wish to interact with it for any support. Also, Siri will now give better results to any query with the 'Interactive Notification' feature.
MacRumors further quoted that the new watchOS 5 will include a number of watch faces to Apple Watch. These include Fire and Water, Liquid Metal, and Vapor. More watch faces are expected to come to this new platform at a later part.
The Fire and Water will give the users the options to choose from Fire or Water mode and as per their own choice, the Watch will blink with the firey or watery animations. On the other hands, Liquid Metal face will feature liquid metal in silver, gold, black color options alongside another option to cycle through different colors.
