Apple has announced a number of new updates and tweak ups with its iOS 12. The company, however, remained silent about certain features and kept them hidden under the hud. Potential sources already dug deep into the newest operating system and found at least 10 attributes which were not quoted by Apple officially. All of the traced features have been listed below.
Tracing Battery Drainage Properly:
According to Cnet, the first feature that may take a user by surprise is an innovative battery drain tracing features. It has always been a point of curiosity for any sort of Smartphone user that which app is killing his handset's battery the most. Unfortunately, there was no real feature in any handset until now which had actual ability to trace which app is causing the rapid drainage of a phone's charge.
Apple's iOS 12 has brought a new More Battery Info feature, which conveys proper information about the apps which is taking up the major part of the battery. It shows up the battery statics in a graph allowing the users to keep the trace of their battery backup.
Alternative Face ID:
BGR quoted that Apple's newest IOS 12 brought a second Face ID feature with an 'Alternative Appearance' option which allows users to set and save another Face to unlock their Apple devices. This can be their own face with any peripheral on it or that of anyone else, to whom he wants to give the access of his device. However, to change or modify this secondary Face ID one must reset the settings from the beginning.
Temporary DND Feature:
Alongside this, iOS 12 has also brought a 'Temporary DND' button which enables a user to put his device in Do Not Disturb mode for an hour. At the end of the hour, it automatically switches the active mode on if not opted for another hour.
Autofill Passcodes:
Apple has also added a quick Autofill shortcodes feature which allows users to put their passcodes automatically for two-tire authentication process without the requirement of manual memorizing of the codes or copy and paste format by the user himself. Apple devices compatible with iOS 12 can now receive automatic OS updates, without the need for installation from Apple Store each time.
Other Hidden Attributes:
Besides these, Apple has brought back the swiping up feature for the apps to be closed without the use of Multitasking mode. Also, there is a new QR scanner inbuilt within the camera app of iOS 12 which enables users to quickly scan things which they require. Users can now also Disable their USB accessories, for enabling special protection for their Apple devices, with new iOS 12.
