Xiaomi launched its first ever gaming handset back in April this year. Dubbed as Xiaomi Black Shark, the smartphone caught the attraction throughout the globe. Xiaomi is now reportedly moving a step ahead to enhance this popularity of gaming smartphone. A next-gen advancement of Black Shark smartphone may be ahead for its official release soon. A similar handset from Xiaomi recently appeared on the listing of Chinese smartphone certification agency.
According to The Indian Express, a new smartphone surfaced over China's mobile certification agency, namely TENAA, seemed to carry the same model number as that of the existing Xiaomi Black Shark handset. The model number SKR-A0 flaunted on the latest listing is same as that of Black Shark.
Also, there is an official listing in the company's Chinese holdings which hints for a second generation installment of Black Shark, possibly Black Shark 2. Potential sources even suggested that the alleged Black Shark 2 tends to have similar technicalities and specifications as that of the first edition of Black Shark, as a gaming superpower in the current smartphone industry.
Digit quoted that Xiaomi Black Shark 2 would possibly be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 processor. It should be noted in this context that Xiaomi's predecessor gaming smartphone: Black Shark is also powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC only. The listing of the upcoming handset showcased over TENAA listing tipped a snap of its rear end as well.
The image showcased a dual snapper setup over the back of the alleged model of Black Shark 2. However, rear cameras are placed vertically to each other in case of the next edition of Black Shark. Some other features have also been hinted by reliable sources for Xiaomi Black Shark 2.
The second generation model of Black Shark will reportedly come with a 4000 mAh battery, ensuring extended power back up for high-end gaming. The smartphone will hold a 5.99-inch display along with the high-resolution capacity of 1080×2160 pixels. Black Shark 2 will possibly boast a fingerprint sensor on its rear end similar to Xiaomi's first edition of Black Shark.
The handset is said to have two or three memory variants, the primary model will have a 6GB RAM coupled with 64GB of internal memory. The highest-end version of Xiaomi Black Shark 2 will come with an 8GB RAM support alongside 128GB of storage space. However, there are also hints for a mid-range model having 8GB of RAM staked with 64GB of internal storage.
