HMD Global is having a super busy schedule with its Nokia branded smartphones. The company seems to be in no mood to rest, any time soon. Its latest handset: Nokia 5.1 Plus is making rounds all over the smartphone markets. In the mid of this excitement, another Nokia handset, probably the upcoming Nokia 7.1 Plus appeared on Chinese listing of TENAA.
According to Android Authority, a new Nokia branded smartphone, with the model number TA-1131, recently surfaced over the Chinese smartphone listing site. The unknown phone is tipped to be Nokia 7.1 Plus as per the majority of the potential sources. The listing also revealed much about the expected specifications of the next Nokia handset, which is reportedly in the making currently.
The listing suggested that Nokia 7.1 Plus will flaunt a 6.1-inch wide display packed with highest end resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels. The earlier hints suggested that Nokia 7.1 Plus will hold a tiny-bezel alongside a notched display. The latest leaked pictures from TENAA doesn't showcase a notch for real, although the image seems unclear, so, it can't be predicted at this moment.
India Today quoted that according to the listing, Nokia 7.1 Plus will be powered by an octa-core processing unit clocked at 2.2 GHz. The capability of the processor exactly matches with existing Snapdragon 710 chipset. Previous revelations also hinted for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 SoC only for Nokia 7.1 as well as 7.1 Plus.
As for the camera department, the listing hinted for dual-snapper setup for the rear end, boasting a 12MP primary shooter coupled with another 13MP secondary lens. The selfie camera setup seemed to be more powerful with a 20MP snapper support with AI-based capabilities. Nokia 7.1 Plus is said to come in two variants in terms of its memory setup, as per TENAA listing.
The primary edition will come with a 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB internal memory option, while the highest end model of Nokia 7.1 Plus will boast 6GB RAM along with a128GB storage space. Both the handsets will have expandable memory support with a microSD card slot.
Besides all these, Nokia 7.1 Plus will have a 3400 mAh battery for ensuring battery backup. The handset will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, as per the latest listing based revelation. Smartphone analysts have also expected to see Nokia 7 and 7.1 Plus getting an advancement of Android One update at a later part. The price of the handset is still unknown.
