Since its announcement, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti has seen a considerable amount of anticipations. The company has evolved a revolutionary ray tracing technology with its latest 20 series graphics cards. GeForce RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti are the first ever launched masterpieces under this newest series.
Nvidia has reportedly stated that GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is highly capable in comparison to GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Reputed sources have already started to stress for benchmarking comparison.
According to PCWorld, Nvidia earlier claimed that GeForce RTX 2080 Ti works three fourth times faster than previous year's GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The source tested both the card in their benchmarking evaluation. A Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition card was set for competition with an overclocked PNY GTX 1080 Ti XLR8.
The result was amazing as the RTX 2080 Ti outperformed the later by an average score of 33 percent. RTX 2080 Ti also clinched 45 percent greater performance rate than GTX 1080 Ti in the cases of certain titles like Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Rainbow Six Siege. However, it was still behind than Nvidia's claims of 75 percent revamped performance than GTX 1080 Ti.
The source also stated that GeForce RTX 2080 Ti flaunted 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with graphics tweaked to ultra settings in the majority of the high-end games. The best performance conveyed by Nvidia's latest masterpiece for 4K monitors is at 80 frames per second.
IGN also recently tested both GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and GTX 1080 Ti with high-level gaming. The source, applied Assassin's Creed Odyssey title for the benchmarking process. The cards were held in Ultra PCs, where they gave their best available performance. IGN set the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti at real-time 4K resolutions at 60 frames per second. The latter one was also set at the same frames rate per second.
While played in high-end settings for gameplay, shadow and other in-game settings, both the cards apparently showcased similar performance for the title's velocity in terms of the visuals. However, GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and GTX 1080 Ti registered different scores with the game.
While the later was able to make 42 points, RTX 2080 Ti clinched victory over GTX 1080 Ti with 50 points in performance ratings. It should be noted that both the cards were tested over intel's seventh generation Core i7-8700k CPU @ 3.70GHz w/16GB Ram. Nvidia GeForce 2080 Ti is now selling at major retailers like BestBuy and Walmart. The pre-order is also available in major Nvidia authorized marketplaces and online stores.
