Google's next-gen Pixel phones are just days away from getting their official announcement. But it seems that the buzz and teases can't get over from the shoulders of Pixel 3 and 3 XL. The latest one comes from Google itself. The tech giant's official Japanese Youtube channel has posted a mini clip which reveals much about the smartphone's design. Google is expected to unveil Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in the coming weeks.
According to TechRadar, the teaser video uploaded on Google's Japanese Youtube channel showcased various instances of squeezing. Beginning with a little Japnese girl squeezing a big teddy out of fear of something and ending with a phone like a frame holding Google's iconic 'G' sign at the mid-point towards the bottom corner.
The teaser was enough to hint that Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL will come with 'Active Edge' technology which was also evident in Pixel 2 handsets. The company may now also innovate another set of new technology and implement a sizable display alongside the edges, as per a number of smartphone analysts and experts.
It should be noted that 'Active Edge' technology enables users to squeeze the edges of the handsets to a certain extent. This is technology is used to provide the comfort for holding a smartphone by one's hands. The display is said to be made of AMOLED glass with highest possible resolution rate. Google has always been known for making new sets of implementations to its range of next-gen devices. But whether the company has really improved a squeezable AMOLED or not is still a mystery to be solved.
Besides these, Indian Express has quoted that the teaser also showcased black, white, green and pink colors through the presentation of characters and objects in the clip. Previous renders have partly confirmed two color variants for Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL handsets, namely black and white. But whether the company is also looking forward two exclusive editions of its next Pixel smartphones in green and pink colors still remains a big question.
Google has been traditionally known to tease its color options for its various devices with the teasers with different objects and character presentations in varied colors. Therefore, these revelations can be considered as an indication of Google's next smartphones: Pixel 3 and 3 XL getting two extra color options. Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL will be announced on October 9, this year.
