One of the most anticipated devices for the year is the OnePlus 6T and that much-awaited flagship now has an official launch date – Oct. 30. The company announced the event for the said flagship and added that this will be the biggest event ever.

Seeing how the OnePlus 6T comes filled with impressive features, it seems only fitting that the company would give it a grand launch. The event will happen at Pier 36 in New York but fans can keep tabs of the event via live stream starting at 11:00 a.m. ET either through the company’s official website or its YouTube channel, CNet said.

The OnePlus 6T will succeed the OnePlus 6, packed with interesting features that include an in-display fingerprint sensor and a curiously smaller notch that what the latest iPhones from Apple and Google Pixel 3XL are sporting.

However, changes to the OnePlus 6T also include the removal of some common items. This includes the 3.5 mm headphone jack, meaning folks who would require the aid of earphones or headphones will need the assistance of the USB-C connector or get hold of OnePlus Bullets V2 earphones, Engadget said.

The inclusion of the in-display fingerprint sensor should be welcome to users who may have already heard or seen it on Vivo and Xiaomi devices. It adds another layer of security to phones although the OnePlus 6T will reportedly also have a face-unlock feature.
