The OnePlus 6 may be relatively new although this will not stop the Chinese company from potentially releasing a sequel. With most unleashing their new devices, the OnePlus 6T could come out into the open integrating new technology. Some of those may have been spilled by a recent OnePlus 6T concept design.

First off, the existence of a OnePlus 6T was confirmed by a moderator over at the OnePlus forums. Further, he added through a response that a sequel could be out in the coming months. This alone should spur the mobile phone market, wanting to see what the next device could offer to the market.

This aligns with the previous take of founder Carl Pei that they would unveil a OnePlus 6T only if there are new technologies that can be implemented. Most phones introduced to date have shown off a lot, enough to perhaps push the sequel into reality. And it seems the said concept may have adapted some of them.

Based on the concept design, the OnePlus 6T could come out with a narrow notch at the front which will house the front-facing camera. The display also houses the innovative in-display fingerprint scanner, something most have seen on other devices like the Vivo smartphone series, Yahoo said.

Another feature that OnePlus 6T could come with maybe triple cameras. The Huawei P20 Pro showed this off when it launched in April and this could be a great addition to the OnePlus 6T.

Aesthetically, the OnePlus 6T is most likely to come out with a premium design. This includes seeing it made up of a glass and metal design which could be available in different colors (i.e. black, red, and white).

With most left to speculations, Forbes believes that some of the other features could be carried over from Oppo, particularly the R17 family. The screen display was already detailed earlier together with the in-display fingerprint scanner – an improvement that could do well over the traditional rear-mounted biometric security.

The Oppo R17 totes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC, a chipset notable among budget-friendly devices. Seeing how the OnePlus 6 came out with a Snapdragon 845 SoC, this should be the baseline (at the least) if the next rendition is to come out.

It is possible that the OnePlus 6T comes out with minor upgrades and some retained specs. This includes seeing it come out with different RAM and ROM configurations (base of which is 6 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM) and possibly a non-removable battery no lower than 3,000 mAh. It would be best to take these lightly until something official comes out from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer.
