Google has already been in the headlines for quite some time for its newest Pixel branded handsets, namely Pixel 3 and 3 XL. The smartphones were scheduled to be launched in the US on October 18. Both Pixel 3 and 3 XL will see the lights of day in 12 other countries on November 1st, this year. The folks at XDA Developers brought a revolutionary feature of the Pixel phones to the public domain with their deep observation and analysis.
According to XDA Developers, a brand new night sight mode exclusive to Google's Pixel branded handsets showcased objects over its camera way better than one can see it with his own naked eyes. The source suggested that besides Pixel 3 and 3 XL, the feature is also accessible in a bit older Pixel handsets, as the guy who has tested the camera app with the night sight mode has applied it to both Pixel 3 and Pixel 2 XL handsets.
For the utility of the feature, he first decompiled the app and then switched a value from false to true and finally recompiled the camera APK of both the Pixel phones. The result, he received was mesmerizing in itself. The scenes he captured with this mode were better with more detailed aspects captured in the snaps than one can see in reality.
Additionally, the pictures captured by the camera app using the night sight mode were brighter than the real light of the atmosphere as the snaps were taken at a darker place than what it seemed in the photos. GSMArena quoted that the snaps taken with the enabled support of night sight mode in the camera app of Pixel 3 and 2 XL handsets were captured HDR+ mode. The details in the pictures were so authentic which were hardly watchable with bare eyes for a normal human being.
For accessing the Night Sight mode one will require to go to the 'More' option of the camera app. There one will get to opt for the night mode. When activated, the night sight mode will flaunt a 'moon' looking sign on the top corner of the camera interface. If a user is in a low light area, the camera will automatically detect it and will ask for user's permission to keep it in night sight mode. As soon as the mode is activated one can keep the camera still and take multiple snaps with the help of this feature.
