OnePlus has a big surprise to reveal on October 29, as the handset '6T' is going to be unveiled in its NYC event for the first time. Just before that, a big news is coming for OnePlus' US fans.
Reportedly, OnePlus 6T has cleared the process of Verizon certification, this means that the smartphone will be one of the first handsets from OnePlus to be released in US' huge wireless market. OnePlus is also looking forward to joining hands with other mobile carriers operating in the country as well.
According to PCMag, which was the first potential source to clinch this update, OnePlus 6T has received the official approval from Verizon's certification process. This means that the handset will be available in the United States as a GSM unlocked device with the connectivity support option of Verizon. The users of the device will be able to switch their connections as per their very own preferences as the smartphone will be available in Unlocked mode.
As per another report by GSMArena, OnePlus has been planning to tie up with other telecom service providers in the US, apart from Verizon, as well. Talking about others, T-Mobiles comes at the first choice in the country. As per potential sources, OnePlus authorities have also made a deal with T-Mobiles under which OnePlus 6T will be available stacked with T-Mobile connections exclusively in T-Mobile stores in the US.
If the sources are all true, then this will establish a landmark for the Chinese OEM company: OnePlus as its solo existence in the United States, when its other potential rivals such as ZTE and Huawei are still strangled in the political rivalry between the country & China.
Moreover, as the United States Telecom authorities are looking forward to moving a step ahead in terms of implementing 5G connectivity throughout the country, smartphone analysts have regarded this green signal from Verizon as a great opportunity for OnePlus to establishing its trademark as a mobile device maker in the country.
In terms of specs also, OnePlus 6T reportedly holds huge advancements which are essential for a connectivity revamp from 4G to 5G. As per the reliable sources, OnePlus 6T is powered by Qualcomm's most powerful chipset till date: Snapdragon 845 SoC. Additionally, it is hinted to run on Android 9 Pie out of the box. OnePlus 6T is also said to hold improved mechanism for ensuring long lasting battery life, which is a non-ignorable requirement for 5G carrier support. The phone is a power-packed device altogether.
