Samsung is known to release a flip smartphone in its one of the most selling markets: China. Last year, the company unveiled the flip handset, dubbed as W2018. This year also Samsung has just launched its next-gen flip handset for the region, named W2019. The smartphone has been designed with the top specs and features. It is likely to become one of the most liked handsets in the country.
According to Digital Trends, Samsung W2019 is powered by Qualcomm's latest and most advanced Snapdragon 845 chipset. It should be noted in this context that the company's last year's flip handset was powered by Snapdragon 835 processor. So, evidently, Samsung has moved a step ahead in terms of its flip handset's processing unit's configuration. As for the outlook, the smartphone features: "anodised aluminium body with a diamond-cut finish." The phone weighs 257 grams. Samsung has turned the pattern of the smartphone a bit thicker than before as it measures up to 17.3mm.
As per a report by Hindustan Times, Samsung W2019 flaunts dual 4.2-inch AMOLED display. Both the panels sport full HD resolution. As for the memory, Samsung W2019 comes with 6GB RAM setup. The smartphone comes with two internal memory options: the primary variant of the W2019 holds 128GB storage space whereas the higher-end edition of the same comes with a 256GB memory. As for the camera department, Samsung W2019 boasts dual-rear snappers with two 12-MP lenses. The rear camera holds the capacity of 4K video recording at 60 frames per second. These can capture snaps at 2X optical zoom along with optical image stabilization capability.
Besides these, Samsung W2019 boasts an 8-MP selfie camera in the front end. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Whether the handset will get an update of Android Pie or not is still a mystery. As for the connectivity options, The W2019 include NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and Wi-Fi support. The fingerprint sensor of the phone has been placed at the side button.
One of the most intriguing additions to the handset is Samsung's very own Bixby support. Samsung W2019 comes with a 3070-mAh battery for a long-term battery life. Samsung W2019 will exclusively be marketed in China. It will be available with the network carrier support of China Unicorn. As for the pricing context, the W2019 will be sold at 18,999 Yuan, which is equivalent to USD 2,700. The interested buyers can now pre-order their copies of Samsung W2019.
