The report, which was made by Bloomberg, revealed that Apple made the official announcement that two of its products have a hardware defect. The two products are iPhone x and MacBook Pro-13 inch. The acknowledgment was posted on Apple's support page.

In its official statement, Apple said that some of the iPhone X have problems to do with the screen. To be more precise, it has to do with the touchscreen issues.

Some of the issues include an unresponsive screen, part of the screen or the whole of it. The screen might fail to respond to the user's touch. This might happen intermittently. In some other cases, the screen is responding without the user touching it.

Apple also added that people who have the eligible iPhone X can have a replacement done for free. The screen replacement module will be done in any of the Apple Authorized Service Providers.

In the Bloomberg report, it has been revealed that the users of the iPhone X had been complaining about the problem for a very long time. Most importantly, the iPhone X has been in the market for less than one year's period. This comes after the discontinuation which took place a while ago in September. This came shortly after the release of the iPhone XR and the XS.

We had a similar issue two years ago in 2016. This happened with the iPhone 6 Plus. Back then, Apple charged it's customers $US149 to fix the defect.

A confirmation has also been made by Apple pointing out that the 13-inch MacBook Pro might also have a problem. The MacBook that we're talking about is the one that was sold around June 2017 and June 2018.

The defect with this MacBook might cause the laptop to lose some data or cause some failure with the drive. Apple also mentioned that the laptops with the issue can be serviced at Apple Authorized Service Providers or the retail shops. If you're trying to determine whether you're laptop needs to be serviced, you'll just have to key in your serial number to the Apple support page.
