Xiaomi has just concluded its 11-11 Singles Sales with superlative success. The company may now launch another spectacular smartphone. Xiaomi just tipped a picture on its official Weibo account about which it is likely to make an official announcement today. The company has not assured anything yet. But potential sources have started claiming that the poster is about a new Lite edition smartphone.
According to GizmoChina, the poster appeared on Xiaomi's official Weibo account since yesterday morning. It showcased a train passing through a pro-longed railway bridge. The taglines in the poster are written in the Chinese language. It dubs two words 'Youth' and 'Tomorrow.' This has created a mix impression among the smartphone analysts and specialists about Xiaomi's expected announcement. Some of them (alongside some potential sources) have started claiming that Xiaomi might be looking forward to launching a Lite edition of the existing Mi 8 smartphone. This insight can be considered as an evidence in terms of Xiaomi's tradition, as the company has already launched Mi 8 Lite handset in Europe some days before.
As per another report by BGR, Xiaomi may not bring any more 'Youth' marked Mi 8 handset again, as it has already unveiled the Mi 8 Youth handset in China in September, this year. Therefore, the source has suspected that this upcoming smartphone is most like a Lite edition of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Reportedly, a Lite version of Mi Mix 3 was traced by many reliable sources in the last few months. The teased handset is said to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 SoC. So, if the speculations regarding the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is anyway true then it may take on the Lenovo Z5 Pro.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is expected to be greater in force, size, and capability than the Mi 8. The Mi 8 Lite, marketed in Europe, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 chipset. So, it is expected to be comparatively cheaper than Mi Mix 3. The handset flaunts a 6.26-inch notched IPS LCD screen that carries support for Full HD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. Mi 8 Lite is expected to be launched in China in two memory variants. The primary one with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, and the highest-end edition with 4 GB RAM with 128 GB storage. Price range for the same is a mystery for now. Interested smartphone enthusiasts may require to wait for a while to know what is coming up.
