But it seems that fans may have recently been led astray about what to expect from "Fortnite" season 6 week 8 and its Battle Pass challenges.
Forbes' Paul Tassi recently ran into the problem when he noticed that the list of challenges that publications were promoting as "Fortnite" season 6 week 8 challenges seemed dubious. The video game reporter noted that the challenges included the use of a Rift to spawn at a different location.
Fortnite fans would know that Rift mechanics are a thing of the distant past. Tassi also noticed that "search between" challenge mechanics have yet to be seen since "Fortnite" season 6 launched. The presence of legacy mechanics in supposedly season 6 week 8 challenges makes the "Fortnite" season 6 week 8 challenges highly suspect.

Upon further research, Tassi was able to uncover the fact that the list being promoted as "Fortnite" season 6 week 8 challenges are actually "Fortnite" season 5 week 8 challenges being dressed up as the former. Twitter user Not Liam was one of the few "Fortnite" players to have spotted the reuse of season 5 week 8 challenges for the "Fortnite" season 6 week 8 challenge list.
Unfortunately for "Fortnite" players, a confirmed list of the actual "Fortnite" season 6 week 8 challenges are yet to be available online. Even after most players are already aware that the supposedly leaked "Fortnite" season 6 week 8 challenges are actually rehahsed season 5 challenges, some "Fortnite" content creators continue to post and release the compromised list as season 6 week 8 challenges.
The reasons for the lack of a solid leak for "Fortnite" season 6 week 8 and its challenges are unclear. According to Tassi, this is the first time that a leak regarding "Fortnite" challenges has been unavailable since the early seasons. Tassi speculates that Epic Games may have tightened their control over the upcoming week's challenges which prevented leakers from going public with the information.
