Google has already surprised many with its newest third generation Pixel handsets: Pixel 3 and 3 XL. However, the surprise may have not ended yet as the popular sources already acknowledged that the company is possibly making up a mid-range variant of the same generation of Pixel phones, quoted as, Pixel 3 Lite. A new render of the alleged handset was revealed by a few of the potential sources recently.
According to FirstPost, a Russian technology blog named Rozetked was the first ever relevant source to catch a leaked image of the alleged Google Pixel 3 Lite. Codenamed as 'Sargo,' the handset was even spotted by the folks at XDA Developers. The sources suggested that upcoming Google Pixel 3 Lite will again be paired with 3.5-headphone or, audio jack, out of the box.
Notably, Google sacrificed its traditional audio jack with the latest Pixel variants. So, the company may possibly be revising its old terms and planning to bring back the earlier audio experience. Besides these, Pixel 3 Lite is also said to be a bit different than the existing Pixel 3 handsets, in terms of design.
As per a report by Gadget 360, the Pixel 3 Lite, flaunted in the leaked image, boasted a thick bezel much alike that of Pixel 2 smartphones. The handset is said to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 670 chipset, which is relatively lower in terms of processing capacity than Pixel 3 XL's Snapdragon 845 processor. As for the display, the phone will possibly sport a 5.56-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2220×1080 pixels. As for memory option, Pixel 3 Lite is speculated to hold a 4GB RAM setup coupled with 64GB of internal memory space.
As for the camera department, Pixel 3 Lite will sport a single lens (allegedly, 8-megapixel) selfie snapper, in front, along with a LED flash and a single lens (allegedly, 12-megapixel) rear camera at the back end. Pixel 3 Lite will possibly have a mid-sized battery, most probably a 2915-mAh one, to provide proper support for high-end resolution based apps and games.
The smartphone will reportedly come with a Type-C charging port with the fast-charging facility. Google has not revealed any words about the phone's price index, but, reliable sources have pointed out that Pixel 3 Lite will be price tagged somewhere between USD 400 and USD 500. Whether it will run on Android Pie or, not is still a mystery. The handset is expected to launch by the end of the first phase of next year.
