Samsung has recently been more involved with its A series handsets. The company has just launched its Galaxy A9 handset in its India and South-Asian markets, which holds a revolutionary quad-core back snapper setup, the first of its kind. The tech giant is now looking forward to freshening things up with another new installment of 2018-released Galaxy A8. The smartphone has been dubbed as Galaxy A8s and it just appeared on the listings of the US Inspection agency: FCC.
According to Digit, Samsung Galaxy A8s was spotted recently on FCC, which revealed much about its expected features. The alleged smartphone was reportedly witnessed on the latest index of FCC, with the model number SM-G8870. The listing also surfaced a number of screenshots of the same which revealed much about its possible specs.
Samsung teased its latest and innovative design pattern, dubbed as 'Infinity Notch,' back in its last edition of Developer Conference. If the model number and the screenshots are of the same handset, then Galaxy A8s will have an Infinity-O notch. The notch will be placed at the top left end of the display and it will not be a part of the panel design, which we have witnessed in case of the earlier notch design.
The Infinity-O notch will be placed as a separate portion of the display, leaving up a bit of room for display panel at its top end as well. As per another report by BGR, Samsung is also revamping its screen to display ratio in Galaxy A8s. Whereas, usually, Samsung's major number of handsets come with an aspect ratio of 18:5:9, The screen of the Galaxy A8s seems to have an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. This means that Samsung Galaxy A8s will have greater room for operation.
Samsung Galaxy A8s will boast an in-display fingerprint sensor. Besides these, the smartphone is expected to come with quad-core camera setup as well, just like its big brother Galaxy A9. Although, some of the potential sources have started claiming that Galaxy A8s will have three-lens snapper setup only. The handset will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 chipset.
As for memory support, Samsung Galaxy A8s will have a 6GB RAM coupled with 128GB of internal storage space which can be expanded up to 512GB with the help of MicroSD card. The smartphone is rumored to be released by the end of the first phase of 2019.
