Laurie Pressman, the Pantone Color Institute's Vice President shared, "With everything that's going on today, we're looking for those humanizing qualities because we're seeing online life dehumanizing a lot of things."
With the ability of the color to uplift and nourish the emotions of people, the Vice President further explained that next year's color of the year isn't just there to create a trend, but the color is something that the world needs at present.
Pressman added, "We're looking toward those colors that bring nourishment and the comfort and familiarity that makes us feel good."
To Pantone, the Living Coral is one of the colors that could bring "comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment." Furthermore, it can also express our playful side, and that will never be boring.
