Nothing completes the day than the pleasing rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the morning. The satisfying smell of your favorite dark Americano isn't really easy to resist.

There's no doubt about this. A survey shows that, in America alone, about 587 million cups are consumed daily by coffee fanatics.

Most people's reason for taking their dose of caffeine every day is to help them rise and become more productive in their tasks. Unfortunately, others are overusing it.

Some people even tend to become dependent on it that without it, they aren't able to function well. Remember, caffeine is still a drug. So, it is just crucial to consume it as such and with limitations.

For coffee, safe consumption depends on the consumer's body weight and health issues. For healthy normal-built persons, as reviewed by the European Food Safety Authority, up to 400 milligrams of caffeine is enough. That will be equal to five shots of espresso, and one Starbucks Venti brewed coffee, according to Caffeine Former.

But if your body is a little larger than usual, you can still drink an extra cup. If your physique is below the average, you must make sure to drink a little less.

Consuming more than recommended dosage can give unsatisfying reactions in the body such as insomnia, nervousness, migraine headache, irritability, frequent urination, restlessness, and muscle tremors, as reported by Mayo Clinic. If left uncurbed can even cause a much serious health problem.

If you think you are already taking too much of your favorite beverage, make sure to curb your consumption habit. Doing so can be challenging, but rest assured, it will all be worth it.

You can start curbing your caffeine habits by tracking with what you eat. Read the labels and be attentive of your every food intake not just your daily consumption of coffee. Other food and beverage also contain caffeine, so you have to be aware of that as well.

You can also limit your caffeine intake by going decaf. Decaffeinated drinks can satisfy you same as with its counterparts, just with a little bit less caffeine. So, choosing this beverage than the latter can already help you on your way to a healthier and happier lifestyle.

Another way to curb your caffeine is by choosing other healthy beverages other than coffee. Grab your favorite fruit and mix it through a blender to create a smoothie. Or you may want to add a little bit of milk and ice to it and make a shake. Doing so will surely satisfy your cravings for your daily cup of goodness without the caffeine.
