With 2018 over in less than a couple of weeks, smartphone enthusiasts are hoping that Samsung releases official information that could lead to a confirmation of the Galaxy S10 soon. While most smartphone enthusiasts are looking towards the Mobile World Congress at the end of February for the Galaxy S10's reveal, a new source of information says that news about the smartphone can be expected much earlier.

According to 9to5google (via Gizmodo UK), Samsung fans can expect another Samsung Unpacked event to occur sometime in February of next year. Gizmodo's source claims that the Samsung Unpacked event will most likely be the official reveal of the much awaited Galaxy S10 and will be scheduled almost a week before the Mobile World Congress set to happen from Feb. 25 to 26.

As the publication notes, the 2019 Samsung Unpacked event is scheduled for Feb. 20 which will also be when the new Galaxy S10 will be made available for pre-order. In addition, Gizmodo's alleged source states that smartphone enthusiasts who pre-order their Galaxy S10 by the date of the smartphone's announcements can expect to receive them by March 8.

Samsung fans will know that the smartphone manufacturer has historically announced is S-series of smartphones during the Mobile World Congress. A potential unveiling in an earlier scheduled Samsung Unpacked event could point towards the mobile company's confidence in their upcoming Galaxy S10 product line. Considering the potential prices of the upcoming Galaxy S10 smartphones, fans of the smartphone manufacturers products will definitely expect amazing things from the upcoming releases.

Aside from the Galaxy S10's release date, Gizmodo UK also released potential price points for the smartphone. Samsung fans can expect the 5.8-inch Galaxy S10 to cost around $840 with 128GB of storage while the standard Galaxy S10 could cost around $1000 with 128 GB of storage, and around $1200 for the 512GB model.

The Galaxy S10+ also gets some price leaks with a 128GB model to potentially cost around $1200, a 512GB model around $1400, and a surprising 1TB model to be potentially priced just slightly below $1800. 9to5google notes that the Galaxy S10+ may turn out to be the most expensive smartphone that the company has produced notwithstanding the potential $1800 price tag for the upcoming Samsung foldable smartphone.

If the Galaxy S10 prices released by Gizmodo UK are confirmed, Samsung looks to be stretching the definition of premium smartphone pricing. Hopefully, the Galaxy S10 will be worth its price when it does get officially announced in February 2019 during the Samsung Unpacked event or otherwise.
