Xiaomi has been one of the top players this year in the handset market. Now the company is up to try its luck as a PC maker. The tech giant is yet again taking its rivalry against Apple's MacBook Air with a new Mi Notebook Air. The newest laptop comes with an Intel Core i5 processor alongside 12.5-inch display which makes it most attractive.

According to Gadget 360, the latest Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air flaunts a full-HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution and 170 degrees wide viewing angle. The PC runs o Windows 10 Home Edition. The machine is powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor which is accompanied by Intel HD Graphics integrated graphics 615. The new graphical setup will enable Mi Notebook Air to run high-end games and videos based on the lively viewing experience, as per the claims by a number of potential sources.

As for the memory setup, the next-gen laptop comes with a 4GB RAM coupled with 256GB SSD storage support. The storage can be expanded with the help of hard drive. Xiaomi's official claims about the brand new Mi Notebook Air stated that it will support "1C fast charge, and can last up to 8 hours of online video playback, 7.5 hours of local video playback, and 7.5 hours of web browsing." The device comes with a  1-MP web camera which can evolve video calls at the highest resolution of 720p. 

As per the report by PCMag, Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air holds connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G etc. The suitable ports for these connectivities include a USB Type-C port, USB 3.0 port, HDMI, and 3.5mm headphone jack. As of now, Mi Notebook Air i5 is available at JD.com and mi.com. The available buying options may increase in the coming days. The laptop has been launched in silver color only as its primary variant. Experts and tech analysts are expecting to see more color options for Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air as well.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air has now been listed in China. The price tag for Xiaomi's home country's holdings has been officially set at CNY 3,999. The pre-order window has been activated. The interested buyers will be able to place their pre-order at CNY 100. The company has not yet stated an exact date for the availability of the device. The laptop is expected to ship by the first week of January 2019.
