The craze for the full foldable handset was initiated by Samsung back in November 2018. The firstly unknown handset was later named as Galaxy F. Now, one of the top rivals of the company is also possibly coming up with the concept of another foldable sensation. Famous tipster Evan Blass tipped a video of what looks like a foldable phone from Xiaomi.

According to Tech2, Oppo has also promised to unveil a foldable smartphone in this year's Mobile World Congress, which is scheduled to take place in February 2019. Apple has also reportedly registered a patent which tends to portray the design resembling a foldable smartphone only.

Xiaomi may also be looking forward to joining the league in this season. Et News had also earlier reported that Xiaomi is working on an 'outfolding' handset back in July 2018. The report now seems to be relevant as Evan Blass also supported the insight with his latest post on his Twitter account.

The teaser showcased a smartphone with a display panel which can fold frontwards as well as backward. This is something very new to the concept of foldable handsets as Samsung's Galaxy F has been showcased to be folding in front side only. Xiaomi is known to challenge the limits of design and pattern.

Engadget noted that last time, the company came up with the revolutionary design of bezel-less front panel with its Mi Mix series handset, which became a trend with all other rival handset makers as well. Therefore, the fans can expect to see Xiaomi's next-gen foldable handset as a trendsetter as well.

Speaking of the price range, no concrete information has been surfaced over any potential source yet, but if the readers go through a comparative parameter, Samsung's foldable Galaxy F is reportedly going to be marketed from March 2019 and the price range will be somewhere between USD 1,900 to USD 2,500. But as Xiaomi has always tried to stick to an economy price range for its existing handsets, interested buyers can expect to see the company's foldable stunner within the range of USD 1000 to USD 1500.

As for specs and features, nothing has been outlined yet, but the major attributes are expected to be revealed by sometime in the coming months. Xiaomi's foldable handset is rumored to make its global debut by the end of the first phase of 2019 only. Fans may look for more information about the smartphone in the coming days.
