Fans have been ceaseless in their search for the possible Star Wars: Episode 9 title with some looking for clues by re-watching previous films. A recent theory claims that a dialogue in Star Wars: The Last Jedi hid the title in plain sight.

Reddit user u/wmwortman added to the long list of guesses with reference to the conversation between Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Kylo Ren in Episode 8. The words the Jedi Master said to his nephew particular drew interest. This dialogue happened near the end of the film when the two fight each other on Crait and Kylo vowed to kill Luke.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) said if he succeeds in killing Luke then he would have killed the Last Jedi. His efforts turned out futile in the end because Luke was not on Crait at all. The Jedi Master said a few words in response to the villain and a line from that dialogue supposedly contains the Star Wars: Episode 9 title.

"The Rebellion is reborn today. The war is just beginning."

The fan claims The Rebellion Is Reborn seems a fitting title for the sequel. It fits the usual Star Wars naming scheme where it uses full phrases such as the Revenge of the Sith and Return of the Jedi. A few tweaks might improve the moniker or shorten it like Rebellion Reborn or The New Rebellion.

Interestingly, this title suggestion coincides with the premise Star Wars: The Last Jedi hinted at fans about the story for Star Wars: Episode 9. Rumors have it that a new rebellion rises in the installment following the events in Episode 8.

"If the rumors are true that there will be a time jump of at least one year and that rebel allies will arise from the Outer Rim, it would make sense that the title has something to do with this new rebellion."

Then again, fans speculate that the Star Wars: Episode 9 title is somehow hidden in a line from the opening crawl of The Last Jedi, as much as the latter was taken from the opening crawl for The Force Awakens. There have been several suggestions including The Knights of Ren, The Ashes of the Empire, and A Spark of Hope. A leak in October claims movie director J.J. Abrams is circling around a title that revolves around Kylo Ren, with one that stands out: Order of Ren.
