Former Universal Champion Finn Balor has earned the right to face Brock Lesnar at the 2019 Royal Rumble, a sudden twist following the pullout of Braun Strowman. But the question now is whether the Monster Among Men will be totally out of the picture.

Apparently, a lot of things went down during the Jan. 14 edition of WWE Raw. Strowman kicked off the show, hyped up for his coming clash with the Beast Incarnate. However, Baron Corbin came out to gloat about him winning the battle royale and both ended up in a mad chase.

Corbin apparently hid in a limousine and Elias tipped Strowman on where the Lone Wolf was. It was total chaos with the Monster Among Men going ballistic, using a lead pipe and smashing the windows of the limousine. Corbin escaped but the damage done did not sit well with WWE CEO Vince McMahon, Ringside News said.

McMahon said the damages made will cost Strowman $100,000, something that got the WWE star all the more upset. With the WWE CEO miffed, Strowman would, later on, be pulled from the Universal title match, setting the stage for a number one contender's match.

A Fatal 4-way match was set to determine Lesnar's opponent. Chosen were Corbin, Drew McIntyre, John Cena, and Finn Balor. Surprisingly, one person who was a hot target was Balor. The Demon King went through a gauntlet, first facing Jinder Mahal before besting Corbin, McIntyre, and Cena for the right to face Lesnar at the WWE Royal Rumble, WWE.com said.

With the revised car set, it will be interesting to see if it will be purely a Lesnar vs. Balor encounter for the WWE Universal title. Even if Strowman was pulled, he is unlikely to fade away. There is still one more WWE Raw episode set before the Royal Rumble, one that could paint a clearer picture on what to expect.

Strowman should make an appearance next week, something that could make further changes. It could end up becoming a Triple-Threat match, meaning someone or something could force the hand of McMahon to alter the one-on-one match between Lesnar and Balor.

If the head-to-head duel pushes through, Strowman could instead get involved. He could go after either Lesnar or Balor, meaning the main event will likely be a wordy one.

If Strowman is erased entirely, he could be placed in a different storyline. Seeing how his beef with Corbin is far from over, the two behemoths could end up clashing - either at the Jan. 21 edition of RAW or at the 2019 Royal Rumble.
