The Game of Thrones Season 8 trailer holds several hidden meanings, and one stands out in particular because it can be a foreboding of Jon Snow's demise. His statue may be a sign that he dies and the Stark sisters live.

Fans have been nitpicking every scene in the new Game of Thrones teaser for possible plot clues into Season 8. From the feather that fell to the ground to Sansa's braids. However, what caught everyone's attention the most was the scene where Jon, Sansa, and Arya stared in disbelief at their statues.

Loyal Game of Thrones watchers know that the statues in the crypts of Winterfell belong to the deceased, which Jon, Sansa, and Arya are not. They are very much still alive, so whoever had those statues put out there has something to say. Some claim Bran, being the Three-Eyed-Raven, put those massive stone structures for his sisters and Jon to see as a warning. Perhaps he had a vision of their fate. The initial assumption was that Sansa and Arya's statues tell of their untimely death because it depicts them as they are now, as young women.

Meanwhile, Jon's statue is that of an older man, contrary to what he is now. This supposedly means that he survives the Night King battle and that he is the only survivor in whatever happens in Westeros in Game of Thrones Season 8. He lives long enough to become an old man whereas his sisters die at a young age.

However, the statues depicting the three characters could be a misdirect. Instead of Arya and Sansa, Jon Snow is the likely person who gets killed. Fans may remember a conversation shared between the sisters at the crypts of Winterfell while they both were looking at the statue of their father, Ned Stark. Arya noticed right away that his sculpture does not look like him at all. She even said that it "should have been carved by someone who knew his face," to which Sansa replied that "everyone who knows his face is dead."

As far as everyone in the North and Westeros knows, Jon is a bastard son, which makes him of less importance. He might even sacrifice himself to save those he holds dear.

Regardless of what happens, fans should also remind themselves that this scene might not even come out in the final cut. The Game of Thrones Season 8 trailer is probably just to further hype up fans' excitement for the show's return on April 14.
