Huawei released some spectacular gifts in the last year. It seems that the season of celebration has not been over yet for the handset giant. Huawei has now posted an invite on its official Twitter handle with a teaser image of a smartphone which belongs to its first ever foldable masterpiece. The launch date of the same has been mentioned on February 24.

According to The Indian Express, the invite card on Huawei's official twitter handle reads: "Come with us to explore #ConnectingTheFuture LIVE from #MWC @GSMA. Are you ready to reveal the unprecedented?" The Chinese smartphone major has scheduled the launch event in Barcelona on February 24, at 2 PM CET. The schedule coincides with 2019 Mobile World Congress which is set to held from February 25 to February 28, this year.  

Huawei's launch event of its foldable handset a will be held just 4 days after Samsung's Unpacked Event, which is scheduled to take place on February 20. Samsung is reported to unwrap its foldable handset at the Unpacked event. This makes it's clear that a cold war between the two mobile majors with their foldable stunner is about to begin. 

Speaking of its expected features, Huawei's foldable smartphone is said to be designed as an out-folding model, which will showcase a tablet alike display while open wide and also can be used as a compact device while folded backward. According to NewsBytes, the open-ended tablet display measures up to 7.2-inch. Huawei's foldable handset is expected to be powered by the 7nm Kirin 980 processor, paired with the recently launched 5G multi-mode Balong 5000 modem.

Reports even hinted that Huawei will manufacture only 24,000-30,000 units of its foldable smartphones in the first phase. Afterward, based on its popular demand, it will go for the next phase of production of the same. As for specifications, Huawei's foldable handset will equip 8GB RAM coupled with 128GB storage space. The handset will sport dual rear camera with twin snappers of 12MP each. 

Another intriguing feature of the smartphone will be its huge battery. As per the latest updates, the phone will come with a 6000 mAh battery for enabling extensive power backup. Besides these, the smartphone will also have a superlative 5G connectivity option. Huawei has not stated anything about its price range, but, according to smartphone analysts and the company's supply chains, the handset will cost somewhere near USD 1500 or a bit more.
