The Samsung Galaxy S10 will be officially unveiled on February 20 during Samsung's Unpacked event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California. However, an insider who reportedly got a first-hand experience with the Galaxy S10, S10e, and S10 Plus revealed some of the features of the new Samsung flagships.

GSM Arena reports that the insider got the chance to use the three variants of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10. The same insider, according to GSM Arena, confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10e (or S10 Lite), and the S10 Plus will indeed be equipped with the new Super AMOLED Display with support for 10-bit color processing.

All Samsung Galaxy S10 variants will also be provided with a punch hole that will accommodate a 10MP selfie camera. The new camera will be equipped with OIS, dual-pixel autofocus, and a 4K video capture. Meanwhile, the insider also confirmed that the S10 Plus' second front-facing camera is a depth-sensing unit.

The insider also revealed that the in-display fingerprint scanner on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus is faster than the existing in-display scanners. A piece of welcome news for people who use this feature is that the sensor only occupies a certain surface area and not the entire bottom third of the display.

Like the Samsung Galaxy S8, S9, Note 8 and Note 9, the display screen of all the S10 variants can be activated by pressing or tapping on the in-display fingerprint section. However, unlike previous Galaxy S and Note series with finger scanner, the S10 units will not be equipped with the 3D touch bottom area.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will reportedly be provided with a 4,100 mAh battery. It will also be capable of reverse wireless charging. The super slow motion video capture of the Samsung Galaxy S10 units has also been drastically increased to 0.4 to 0.8 seconds from 0.2 to 0.4 seconds.

While these features are good news for those people planning to switch to the new Samsung Galaxy S10 units, it is worth noting that the insider's report is still not official and should be taken with a grain of salt. However, since Samsung's Unpacked Event is just a few days away, there is a chance that more features would be revealed ahead of the official launch date.

A previous report from the Business Times suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S10e/Lite could cost around €779 (around $908 / £704 / AU$1,269) while the Galaxy S10 could have a price tag of around €929 (around $1,056 / £819 / AU$1,476), and the S10 Plus. The premium S10 Plus, which would have two variants, could cost around €1,049 (around $1,192 / £925 / AU$1,666) and €1,299 (around $1,477 / £1,140 / AU$2,063).
