You Season 2 is now in production and fans have a lot of theories about the show. The new season will be about Caroline Kepnes' second novel, Hidden Bodies, and will follow Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) to Los Angeles.
Joe will be moving to Hollywood to build a new life and search for another love in You Season 2. The previous season finale showed his traumatic childhood and revealed why he stalked women and had homicidal tendencies.
With all that he had done in the previous season, would he finally get caught in You Season 2? There are speculations Joe could get exposed by his DNA when he crept around people's houses when they stalked them.
His gun, which he used to kill Peach (Shay Mitchell), was nowhere to be found. So, there are expectations it could be unearthed in You Season 2.
You Season 2 is also expected to explore Joe's relationship with Mr Mooney (Mark Blum) to show what really happened to the latter. There are assumptions Joe has something to do with the bookstore owner's condition.
Meanwhile, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, via Express.co.uk, showrunner Sera Gamble said there would be a lot of things to explore about Joe from his earlier life in You Season 2. "Those are the things we're starting to get into for season two," she revealed.
As for his new love interest, there are theories The Haunting of Hill House star Victoria Pedretti's new character as Love Quinn will take Joe's attention in You Season 2. Some people say she looks like Beck (Elizabeth Lail) from the previous season with similar hair and features that seem to imply it is no accident that they are look alike.
According to Narcity, Beck and Love both look innocent, but they are also "aspiring to be" something. Beck wanted to be an author while Love would be Whole Foods' produce manager. From the looks of it, Joe would eye another aspiring woman in You Season 2.
You Season 2 is expected to be out in the autumn of 2020. However, it remains to be seen if it will be out globally on Netflix since the show moves to the streaming service.
The show is originally from the Lifetime network before it moved to Netflix in December 2018. Gamble revealed they have been talking with the streaming service the whole time, so You Season 2 might first drop on it.
