Want to have a free Battle Pass for the Season 8 of Fortnite? In the latest patch of the game, a player can have a free Battle Pass if he or she completes all 16 Overtime Challenges by February 27.
This was announced by Fortnite developer Epic Games as they released the game's v7.40 patch in the event called "#ShareTheLove Valentine's Surprise", according to an article published by GameSpot. Epic Games also told players in the game's site that if they still are in need of an outfit, now is there chance to get some skin variants for free.
If the Fortnite player already has the season 7 battle pass, they can unlock additional skin variants for Powder, Onesie, and Trog, according to an article published by Polygon.
Fortnite players were given until Feb. 27, the day before season 7 ends, to complete the Overtime challenges. Hopefully, a lot of the players would finish the 16 challenges.
Currently, there are five Fortnite challenges available on release. They are: Collect Coins in Featured Creative Islands, Deal damage to opponents with Assault Rifles or Pistols, Search chests or ammo boxes at a motel or an RV park, Place Top 15 in Duos with a friend, and Regain health from a campfire in different matches.
The current challenges will require Fortnite players to spend time in the Creative mode, play with a friend in duos, and hunt for chests or ammo boxes.
The offer of Fortnite to its players is considered as a big deal. The Fortnite Battle Pass enables players to have access to a huge variety of outfits and cosmetics that could be used in customizing their character.
In addition, the Fortnite Battle Pass gives owners a chance to get an exclusive set of weekly challenge. This is crucial in leveling up the Battle Pass and having the cosmetics immediately.
The release of Fortnite's new patch came just a few weeks after Respawn launched Apex Legends. The game has already gotten off to a great start with more than 25 million players already, making it a threat to Fortnite.
Fortnite and Apex Legends are currently pitted against each other. Fortnite took the public by storm as it has more than 200 million registered players but Apex Legends, a Battle Royale game, is recently the most watched live stream on Twitch.
For some gamers, Apex Legends is more gamer-friendly especially for those who are still starting in the game. In terms of complexities and enjoyment, however, some gamers said that Fornite has the upper hand.
