Many hearts got broken when FOX announced its decision to not renew the popular American urban fantasy police procedural comedy-drama television series for another installment. The series is considered as one of the most popular ones in the history of entertainment, which is why it is quite disappointing that the network decided to cancel the show. The good thing is, Lucifer Season 4 will be aired on Netflix.
Netflix has not yet announced the official release date of the up-and-coming fourth season. However, a reputable insider hinted that Lucifer Season 4 might arrive very soon. Series editor Hector Carillo shared a photo of him after filming the series' 409th episode.
"I finished my last mix for episode 409 of #LuciferSeason4," Carillo shared about the forthcoming new installment. "It's been a great season and I can't for everyone to watch the show! #LuciferOnNetflix #LuciferEditor #Lucifer," the Lucifer Season 4 editor added.
Because of this, some fans predicted that Netflix could announce the premiere date of the much-awaited new season in the weeks to come. The same photograph also featured the numbers "01:00:05:08" that prompted avid followers of the show to guess if it means there would be longer episodes in Lucifer Season 4.
Meanwhile, Tom Ellis shared what fans could expect in the yet-to-be-released installment during a Lucifer fan expo. The 40-year-old Welsh actor said that the plotline of Lucifer Season 4 is "deeper" that the previous ones. Ellis added that followers of the show would see "lots of devil face" in the up-and-coming fourth season. This, according to reports, could mean that the series' main man could experience more conflicts in the imminent installment.
"In season four there's a lot of self-realisation for Lucifer," Ellis said when asked about Lucifer Season 4 storyline. "Like I've said before: It's very Jekyll and Hyde," the Miranda star went on.
As for Lucifer's love life, one popular theory that the series protagonist and his ladylove, Chloe Decker (Lauren German) will be together again in Lucifer Season 4. The Rush actor, previously, claimed that the two might not be together again. Not all were entirely amused by the Ellis' statement. Some even suggest that the Lucifer and Chloe should be together no matter what happens.
So, should fans expect a wedding in the upcoming fourth installment? Well, that's something we should watch out for. What's sure for now is, there would be a lot of bed scenes in Season 4, which is expected to be released on Netflix later this year.
