Manifest Season 2 will pick up where its premiere left off. The passengers of Flight 828 will try to unravel what happened during their trip after coming back home more than five years later. What makes the storyline even more interesting is the involvement of the government in the incident.
Although NBC Entertainment has not officially confirmed that Manifest Season 2 will come out soon on its platform, it is highly likely that new episodes will surface judging from last year's satisfactory ratings. The program has been averaging 15 million viewers per episode.
The successful run of Season One has been backed up by the network's decision to add three additional interludes. The initial deal is a 13-episode presentation. After the first four chapters, NBC has decided to pack the season with a full 16-installment set.
More importantly, there are some subplots to address in the second run of the suspense-filled program. Siblings Ben and Michaela have a lot of questions in mind considering that several essential events in their lives have passed during their long absence courtesy of an hours-long plane ride.
For instance, both are equally shocked to find their mother has died. Michaela is surprised to find his boyfriend Jared married to her best friend. The fact that they, together with Ben's son Cal, got separated from his brother's wife Grace and daughter Olive during the trip is quite difficult to comprehend.
With the survivors hearing a lot of sounds in their heads, there is something to look forward to later in the show. The voices have echoed again and again to save people around them. Questionable and disturbing circumstances are in place. Even more intriguing is the fact that the National Security Agency has presumed all of them dead.
Although uncertainty still surrounds the showing of Manifest Season 2, the only thing perhaps worth knowing is the return of the main cast. It is yet to be determined who will or who will not be returning among the supporting performers.
It is highly likely that Star Trek Beyond's Melissa Roxburgh, who portrayed NYPD police officer Michaela Stone will be back. Josh Dallas of Once Upon a Time fame will also rejoin as the associate professor Ben.
Ben's wife Grace, who will be played by Athena Karkanis from the House of Cards, and Jenna Kurmemaj's Olive will also return. Twin brother Cal, depicted by Jack Messina, and JR Ramirez's NYPD Jared Vasquez will be back as well. Best friend Lourdes, who will be portrayed by Gotham actress Victoria Cartagena, is also set to rejoin Manifest Season 2.
