Gotham Season 5 will depict Ben McKenzie's script. The man who portrays the show's lead James Gordon will get the chance to showcase his scribbling talent with a write-up for episode 9. The excitement is definitely on as co-star Erin Richards, who plays Barbara Kean on the crime drama, has posted the news on social media.
The truth is Gotham Season 5 will present a rare opportunity for two actors to assume other essential roles on the set. With McKenzie focusing on the written sequences, Richards is due to direct the installment herself.
Penned as The Trial of Jim Gordon, the Chicago detective undergoes a hallucination process where scenarios about his life are presented in front of him through a trial approach. Guest star Peyton List, who plays Ivy, charms her way into David Mazouz's Bruce Wayne. That leaves Camren Bicondova's Selina Kyle to repel surrounding threats by herself.
Additional plots have made episode 9 quite engaging. Doctor Leslie Thompkins, played by Morena Baccarin, undergoes a life-altering juncture which will possibly change the balance of events. Meanwhile, Kean and Robin Lord Taylor's Penguin will map their evil plans once more.
The Trial of Jim Gordon mirrors the penultimate sequences for Season 5. It is one of the two-part installments that have been added to the original ten episodes. Around this time, Gotham is pretty much the place that it should be for criminals who want to expand and protect their turfs.
The final season puts Jim Gordon in a most precarious situation where he has been surrounded by bad elements from all levels. Unfortunately, Gotham is on its own with no way out. The Sirens Club continues to operate with Kean in full control. Apparently, she has all the resources she needs in order to survive.
The Penguin is ready for war as always. With ammunition on hand at Art Deco, his presence alone can alter the footing on the streets. David Thompson's Scarecrow and Cameron Monaghan's Jeremiah Valeska are probably off to another round of killing spree.
Gotham Season 5 presents a broken perspective. There are a lot of standoffs and a lot of blood. The emergence of a caped crusader is also in the offing. Bruce Wayne is emerging as a tough hand on his own. Although the Joker undergoes resurgence every now and then, his periodic void is ably filled by the egomaniacal tendencies of the Penguin.
Adding two more episodes to the slated pack may have been odd but doing so is something to be had as Gotham Season 5 heads for the exit. Viewers and fans just can't get enough action from the chaotic city of the pre-Batman era.
