There is a lot to look forward to in NBC's promising medical drama. The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 17 presents a confrontation between two brilliant minds inside the surgery room. It will be a battle of generations.
Considering that Freddie Highmore's Dr. Shaun Murphy has been under fire for his honesty with patients recently, his maturity to fit the job is being questioned. Although part of this emotional relay is attributed to the young physician's communication issues, it will be an uphill challenge for him in The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 17.
What makes the situation difficult is the presence of surgery head Dr. Jackson Han who is portrayed by Daniel Dae Kim. This will not be a confrontation of wits. It will be a power play judging that the senior medical figure is quite cautious about Murphy's approach.
On the next installment, the challenge is to get back on track and into the good graces of Dr. Han who booted Dr. Murphy from the team. This is something to keep an eye on. A patient will undergo a procedure that will remove a tumor.

A couple of physicians will reinforce the young doctor's position. Christina Chang's Dr. Audrey Lim and Antonia Thomas's Dr. Claire Browne will uphold Dr. Murphy's valuable contribution to Dr. Han. Still, the head surgeon sticks to his decision of keeping off Highmore from the team.
The scenario further gets complicated when Dr. Murphy finds out that there is a level of uncertainty surrounding the cancer diagnosis of Dr. Lim for the patient Sadie. Since he has been alienated from the case, there is nothing much that he could do unless he will take the necessary step to assert his capability.
While Dr. Han is putting the pressure on, Dr. Murphy is lucky enough to have some colleagues believe in him and in what he can do. How things proceed will be unraveled in The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 17.
