Mick Schumacher could make his Formula One Debut for Alfa Romeo on April.

A revelation posted on February 26 spark the hope for Formula One followers that a son of a legend could continue the legacy of his father if not bring it to the next level. On a Twitter post by Formula 1 with Twitter handler F1 said that Mick Schumacher could test for @alfaromeoracing this year.

The Twitter post which gained almost 1,500 likes as of this writing was entitled Alfa Romeo: Schumacher an option for in-season F1 tests. Being retweeted for almost 240 times the news about Schumacher's successor gained 31 comments and continues to increase with followers' opinions on Mick's potential to make his own name or live under the shadow of his father Michael Schumacher.

The post further gave details on Mick Schumacher's F1 debut for Alfa Romeo stating that the team is currently doing discussions on their option for young drivers. The post also confirmed that Michael Schumacher's son's possible Formula One debut will be held in Bahrain.

Formula One champions' sons are facing quite a tough challenge as Mick Schumacher is facing following the announcement of his alleged F1 debut. Nico Rosberg, also a son of an F1 champion said that he is one with the country looking forward to seeing Mick drive.

Rosberg expressed his compassion on the pressure that Michael Schumacher's son has to go through saying that he knows it too well being almost on the same shoes as Mick. He added that the 19-year old racer is in for a huge amount of pressure as well as huge expectations from half of Germany watching him.

Vasseur, Alfa Romeo team boss confirmed the rumors as well as the Tweeter post by releasing a statement on the same day about Mick Schumacher's F1Debut. He confirmed the existence of Mick Schumacher on the post-Bahrain GP young drivers' test shortlists which according to him contains quite a limited choice.

Vasseur, however, clarified that Mick Schumacher's F1Debut has not been finalized since they are still in the process of making a decision. He said that they will continue to evaluate the options available and will be discussing with Ferrari to generate the results. The team boss clarified that Mick's name on the list is not because of his father's achievements but because of his eligibility to join the rookie test being one of the F2 guys who fit the criteria.
