When Jussie Smollett felt his career has slowed down and has allegedly thought of a way to market himself, made a headline for people to recognize him or ask for a higher cut on his recent project Empire, he did not think of the consequences this might lead. Although investigations are already moving towards knowing the main reason this has to happen, things are getting clearer when Chicago PD charged The Mighty Ducks star felony criminal charges of disorderly conduct and filing a false report.
Meanwhile, situations and his career have been shadier for Smollett. Furthermore, his character's disappearance on the last two episodes of Empire and a possible recasting on the next season is a lot to worry about.
It is not clear what instigated Jussie Smollett, but whatever reason he has for allegedly doing this did not help him a lot, and instead will entirely lose his credibility despite starting as a child actor as early as 1987. Now, even his co-stars at Empire has been affected by Smollett's predicament as certain changes on the show must be done, if there is so, it is only because there will be further investigation on Jussie Smollett which has to push thru and the show's management would like to give way to that process.
It has been reported that Terrence Howard was the first to react on the situation and has attempted to talk it out with Smollett and encourage him to come out clean only because the Dead President star feels that he became close to the young actor like a father would be advising his son. However, the alleged confrontation added more to the tension on the set as even other the other casts of Empire seemed to be disappointed at Smollett, even though he has already apologized to them but has insisted that he did not do it.
Hopefully, there is still a positive result despite all the negative effect this has caused especially on Jussie Smollett's career. Although this might not be restored overnight, an Instagram post from Terrence Howard in support to Jussie Smollet came unexpectedly amidst all the hate the latter is already receiving from his previous followers and viewers as well.
A photo of Howard and his son was on a plane as the caption says "All your lil homies got you," and adding some encouraging words like, "We love the hell outta you." Terence Howard replied over a basher who accused him of defending a "lying felon" however he reiterated that no one has the right to judge anybody except God.
