Another royal baby is about to be born, and just as everybody is excited, even those at the Windsor Palace has been waiting for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to have their share of their bundle of joy. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced in October 2018 that they are expecting their first born come spring of 2019, wherein Baby Sussex could have a birthday very close to his/her cousins Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
And even though Meghan Markle got her fair share of all the anxieties of pregnancy, she was still able to perform her royal duties where she will be participating in a panel discussion on Friday, March 8, which is celebrated as International Women's Day each year. The Duchess of Sussex also flew to Morocco with Prince Harry for a three-day engagement a few days later after Markle's baby shower in New York.
In an interview with Princess Diana's former royal butler, Paul Burrell, Meghan Markle has been known to be strong and defiant, which will apply to where she wants her baby to be born. The former Suit star is not at all particular with traditions just like her mother-in-law Princess Diana, who chooses to give birth at a private hospital rather than the traditional home delivery.
From then on, even the Duchess of Cambridge follows her lead and gave birth in St. Mary's Hospital's Lindo Wing, while Meghan Markle will most likely choose an American Hospital like The Portland.
With just a month to a few weeks left, the Duchess of Sussex will give birth, still unknown to everyone her official due date, which is only disclosed within the Windsor clan and its staff, following royal protocols and confidentiality as always. For those who want to know the amenities of The Portland, it is the only fully private maternity hospital in the UK which offers "world-class maternity care", "personalized service."
It even has the option of ordering a glass of champagne to toast the baby's arrival. With its art installations, en-suite rooms and chef-made food (including afternoon tea), the private unit is the perfect location for a royal birth.
Since The Portland will be a bit expensive compared to Lindo Wing, Paul Burrell also shared his insights on the recently lavish baby shower of Meghan Markle in New York, jam-packed with all of her celebrity friends. While the Duchess of Sussex has all the freedom to choose and decide on her baby, Burrell gave a bit of unsolicited advice to avoid upsetting the Queen. Considering how royalties follow strict rules and uniformity, Queen Elizabeth II will be reminding her grandson to observe this.
