It remains to be seen what is Luke Perry's actual medical prognosis, or if he suffered "any lasting damage" from the stroke. It is also unclear what caused his stroke as there are a lot of conditions that could trigger this medical emergency.
The news spread on Wednesday, February 27, that paramedics in Sherman Oaks, California, rushed to Luke Perry's home in response to a 911 emergency call. The "emergency dispatch audio" has then gone viral. Although Arnold Robinson has yet to confirm the news at the time, the call confirmed the urgent situation.
Since then, Luke Perry has been hospitalized. According to USA Today, Arnold Robinson has been denying issues surrounding the actor's confinement. There are claims the actor has been placed in a "medically induced coma," saying he is "merely sedated."
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey revealed the emergency call came in from the Sherman Oaks neighborhood around 9:39 a.m. and the ambulance carried a person to a local hospital. However, he could not identify the patient's name.

Luke Perry was one of the 90210 breakout stars for his role as Dylan McKay, considered as a "latter-day" James Dean type. In an effort to avoid typecasting, he tried to play different roles like a preacher in the HBO prison drama Oz in 2001. He also signed to play Fred Andrews' character on the CW series Riverdale in 2016, which cast wished him to get well soon.
In different posts on Instagram and Twitter, Riverdale cast sent their love and well-wishes to their co-star Luke Perry. "Thinking of you, Luke. And praying for your safe recovery," Lili Reinhart, who plays as Betty Cooper, said on Instagram. "Love you bud," Cole Sprouse (Jughead) added.
"Waiting for ya brotha!!" Skeet Ulrich (F.P. Jones) also said and shared a candid photo of a smiling Luke Perry while in the pool. "Someone has to man the grill for me."
