It will be quite difficult not to have with Big Little Lies Season 2. HBO is probably overwhelmed with reasons to proceed with the next segment. It cannot be denied that the show is globally patronized and loved.

The last stretch's finale alone has garnered close to two million viewers which is mind-boggling for a program on premium cable. A huge plus for Big Little Lies is the fact that the series has been a notable winner during the Golden Globe and Emmy Awards.

Not only will HBO bring back its mainstays. It will also rehire the man behind the program's creative attributes. Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon are on-board to reprise their roles as Celeste Wright and Madeline Martha Mackenzie, respectively.

Although the demand among viewers has been a strong factor to bring back for the second stretch, Kidman has talked about an essential element that also helped. The Others star shares that the cast stayed close despite being busy with their respective lives. The yearning to spend more time together contributed to bringing the cast back.

Meanwhile, screenwriter David E. Kelley will be back scribbling the impending storylines. Considering that Season One is open-ended, the succeeding segments will be sustained by the intensive storytelling approach of the entire team.

Kelley has added that the next segment will likely mirror the platform presented by Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty. A novella-like setup will dig into the details of the characters' dealings during the first stretch.

According to Witherspoon, it will be fascinating to see how roles pursue certain actions during events. The stories will flow considering that there are several unresolved issues for the characters to deal with from Season One.

An intriguing addition to Season 2 is the revival of Alexander Skarsgard's role. His character Perry Wright has been killed back in the first stretch, but he will be shown in some sequences during the upcoming series. It is likely that he will appear in flashes from the past.

The next installment will be presented based on a deeply-embroiled lie. Subplots will spring to life based on the cover-up of Wright's murder by the Monterey Five. The impact of the murder in the lives of those who chose to keep the details under wraps will bring forth numerous possibilities.

On the other hand, Wright's victim of rape Jane Chapman will be dealing with a couple of issues. Shailene Woodley's character heads to the second season managing her traumatic experience and her road to recovery.

Although the powerhouse cast of Big Little Lies Season 2 led by Kidman, Witherspoon and Meryl Streep will return, the individual managing things behind the camera will be replaced. Andrea Arnold will take over the job of Jean-Marc Vallee who will be the executive producer for the show.
