Kylie Jenner is now the youngest self-made billionaire according to Forbes on March 5.
In a Forbes article, the 21-year-old Kylie Jenner has already reached a ten-figure fortune at a younger age than Mark Zuckerberg who became a billionaire at the age of 23. And because of this, she will now replace the Facebook creator as today's youngest billionaire.
But while Kylie Jenner (along with her significant ones) is celebrating her recent breakthrough, it created a great deal of commotion between fans and other celebrities. Because as it happens, a lot of people do not agree with Forbes' recent claims.
In reference to Forbes' Twitter announcement, the well-known journalist, Piers Morgan, retweeted this along with his comment. According to him, Kylie Jenner's fortune is not self-made. He even concluded that this happened all because Kylie's sister, Kim Kardashian, made an x-rated tape.
Lindi Ortega, a Canadian songwriter, also responded to Forbes' announcement on Twitter that if Jenner's fortune is self-made, then so should the royal family. She also explained that Kylie has capitalized on her family's pre-existing fame. Hence, it's like saying that Prince William's fortune is also self-made.
And even Dictionary.com's Twitter account agreed to Ortega and threw some shade in their tweets. It shared that self-made means having succeeded in life but "unaided" to which many fans and followers agreed to. Moreover, some well-known personalities and vloggers also spoke of their resentment and opposition to Kylie's new title.
Conversely and looking on another perspective, other stars and fans are pretty happy with Kylie's new achievement. Hayley Baldwin, one of Kylie's friends, shared on her Instagram story that Kylie is an inspiration and she referred her as a legend.
The same is true for the former One Direction member, Liam Payne, as he tried to defend Kylie's success from Piers Morgan. He responded to Morgan's tweets by saying that he is crazy and that he is just here because he talks negativities about everyone. And instead of spreading hate, why not just congratulate the young star. However, Morgan refused, and he even pointed out that Liam is irrelevant. Now, the feud between Morgan and Liam Payne is still on-going. And it seems that fans and followers of several parties are also participating as of the time being.
But even so and despite all the hatred that has been spreading around, Forbes is pretty much firm about its announcement. So, it is likely expected that Kylie Jenner will hold this title until someone younger than her becomes a billionaire.
