Singer Demi Lovato is done with her boyfriend of 4 months, the designer Henri Levy, and to cheer herself up after their breakup, the music artist ordered some pink and white roses for herself in a powerful gesture of self-love.
With the flowers came a card with a note to herself saying, "You're beautiful, you're loved, and you're worthy of a happy and healthy life."
She also voluntarily checked herself into a drug rehabilitation facility following their split-up, perhaps for more of that self-love. Right now, the 26-year-old is said to be in a "good" place, after spending a "few weeks" at the facility and then checking out.
Some rumors came out claiming that she had overdosed and that presumably was why she went back into the treatment facility. However, these reports were unfounded, according to a source close to the star.
Lovato is apparently "taking care of herself" and staying at her Los Angeles house. Her brief stint at the facility was merely an effort to try to continue working for her health. She is said to be taking some "precautionary measures," according to the source, who also explained that this step was Lovato's way of making sure she does not "get to a place where she was last year," in reference to the artist's relapse.
The pop star has also reportedly been spending time at her studio and working on some music. She is purportedly "in a positive place" at this moment. Her health is said to be progressing well, after her near-fatal overdose last year.
The "Tell Me You Love Me" pop star has kept herself sober since she checked herself out of the treatment facility in November, following the serious aforementioned overdose in July that could have ended her life. After she checked out that time, Lovato continued to work with a sober coach to keep herself on track.
Some people including her family had been worried about her in recent months especially when she started seeing Levy, who was her first love interest after her near-death wake-up call and recovery.
The "Confident" singer was said to have been drawn to Levy because she was his safeguard, plus he was also said to have made her feel "safe" and "not judged." They had been friends at the rehabilitation facility where they met before their relationship progressed into a romantic one.
Unfortunately, this recent love interest had substance abuse issues of his own. The reason for the budding lovebirds' split is not known, but people who care for Lovato may now have expelled those 4-month-long-held breaths.
