The Tesla Roadster Prototype has made a rare public appearance last week. The much-awaited car has seen in public every now and then. It is the single working prototype of the electric car company that has been out in the open.
Just hours before the big Model Y launch, a Tesla fan spotted the Roadster just outside the Tesla Design Studio in Hawthorne. Thus, the appearance of the Roadster goes along with the launch. The car was seen close to the Supercharge station at the Design studio. However, the critics seem to think that there are no significant changes have been conducted since the car was first launched.
Elon Musk, who is the CEO of Tesla once the Roadster hits the market, the car will be capable of 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds. Also, a 620-mile range and more. Musk added that those specs are just the "base" number as the final specifications of the car could even be crazier, according to Electrik.

Elon Musk then went on to say that the car will be sold with an option of "SpaceX package." It will include cold air thrusters. The cold-air thrusters would be a small rocket engine that used to "dramatically improve" the acceleration, braking, top speed, and cornering. He added that it would "maybe allow Tesla to fly," according to Interesting Engineering.
Tesla added that they are aiming to get the car on the showroom floor by 2020. If fans wanted to own the fastest and quickest production car on the market that is also all-electric. Consumers can make a reservation for the $200,000 base version with an expensive $50,000 deposit and for the $250,000 Founders Series for an, even more, $250,000 deposit.
Meanwhile, the Roadster was dramatically launched back in 2017. It emerged from the back of a Tesla Semi during the official reveal of the truck. The European Tesla fans who were lucky enough to be at the Grand Basel Auto Show that happened in Switzerland back in September got a glimpse of the Roadster. It is the albeit non-functioning 1:1 model.
The last time the public has spotted the Roadster working prototype was when Tesla brought the car at the Art Center College of Design a few months ago. It is to inspire young car designers. The school is known to be the alma mater of many brilliant auto designers that includes Tesla's very own Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen.
