A report from OK! revealed that DeGeneres and De Rossi have been telling friends that they underwent the procedure after finding a suitable male donor. That person could be a famous male comedian, but they have been keeping his identity a secret.
The report went on to say that the couple has been talking about what to name their child. The source told the tabloid that DeGeneres wants to name the baby Jennifer, if it's a girl, or Orly if it's a boy.
But according to Gossip Cop, this story has been fabricated. The couple was clear in past interviews that they don't want to have children even if they like kids.
Speaking with Jimmy Kimmel on his show in 2014, De Rossi opened up and said that they're not starting a family. She and Ellen are contented with just looking after De Rossi's nieces, and that's the only kind of parenting they would like to do.
"They're adorable, and we love them, and we play with them," the actress said, adding, "And then we leave." De Rossi also loves the idea that her nieces think they are the cool aunts, but that's all they will be.
In 2015, the couple was also rumored to have undergone but failed a round of IVF treatments. A report from CelebDirtyLaundry suggested that DeGeneres and De Rossi were headed for a divorce because of this failure since De Rossi wanted to give it another go while her wife doesn't support the idea. Those stories were also fabricated since, four years later, the couple is still very much together despite having no children.
Rumors about their marriage breakdown have besieged the couple for many years. If it's not about their failure to have kids, the tabloids would also run stories about their leading separate lives.
However, on DeGeneres' birthday last February, her wife was in full force for the unveiling of The Ellen DeGeneres Campus in Rwanda at the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. DeGeneres proudly shared this moment on her TV show and said that this was her precious birthday present from De Rossi.
