Google finally decided to produce the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, the affordable versions of their recently released Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Months after the launch of their flagship phones Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Google finally confirmed that they are in the process of producing the low-cost version of the two pricier devices. The budget version of the said devices has long been in the predictions of Google Pixel followers especially those wanting to get their hands on Google's flagship devices yet did not have enough resources to do so.
Although budget versions of the flagship devices, Google Pixel 3a, and Google Pixel 3a XL do not compromise on their qualities and promise of consumer satisfaction. Expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 system-on-a-chip processors, both the budget devices will have a large storage of 64GB and 4GB of RAM.
Anticipated to look almost identical to their more expensive predecessors, the massive notch will be their mark of identity to come from the Pixel 3 series. Screen sizes, however, are expected to vary as the Google Pixel 3a will have a 5.6-inch display, a bit bigger than its pricier version the Pixel 3 with a 5.5-inch display. The Pixel 3a XL will have a smaller display of 6-inch, a lot smaller than the 6.3-inch display of its more costly sibling, the Google Pixel 3 XL.
The camera is another aspect that Google assured not to be compromised in spite of the price variation. The budget version of the Google Pixel 3 series is alleged to have a single rear camera of 12MP. The front camera will be a wide-angle selfie camera at 8MP.
Since Google has adapted into the use of the USB-C fast charging technology as they did with the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the affordable version of the Pixel 3 series will be using the same charging technology as well. The Google Assistant activation through the firm gripping on the side of the phone also known as the "Active Edge" technology will also be present upon the release of the said budget phone series.
There is still no confirmed date of release for the affordable version of the Google Pixel 3 series. Prices are yet to be unveiled as well. However, if Google will follow the pricing pattern of its competitors when it comes to flagship versus budget phone difference, their prices may vary from roughly $100 to $150 gap or if the leaker info serves right, they will be around $400 to $500.
