Xiaomi's Black Shark 2 is finally here, an amazing gaming phone set to challenge both the Asus and Razer's gaming power.

Xiaomi announced today their all-new Black Shark 2, their second generation and a follow up to Black Shark Helo, their 2018 entry into the gaming smartphone market. The new gaming phone is set to challenge the big names in the gaming phone industry such as Asus and Razer.

The Black Shark 2 came just a few hours after Xiaomi released their two new Redmi smartphones, washing machine, and wireless earbuds. The announcement of Xiaomi's follow up to the 2018 Black Shark seemed like the finale for the event.

Black Shark 2 boasts at 6.39-inch AMOLED panel that can automatically adjust the display parameters based on the need through its image processing chip. The Trueview Display as Xiaomi calls it has the capacity to restore the screen's true color with its 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2340 by 1080 resolution, not to mention the Super HDR, MEMC intelligent motion, Full DC dimming, and eye protection mode.

The camera is also one aspect that Black Shark 2 proudly features a 5P lens covered 20MP 0.9μm f/2.0 sensor front camera just above the display. A 12MP f/2.2 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom pairs the 48MP f/1.75 0.8μm primary camera is strategically positioned at the back.

The Xiaomi gaming smartphone gives their users a wide variety of options to choose from starting at 6GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 256GB, up to 12GB RAM + 256GB. Black Shark 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 855 processor by Qualcomm.

Since it is a gaming phone, one big aspect of user concern could be the device heating up and battery life. Black Shark 2 comes with a Liquid Cooling 3.0, which completely covers the heat-generating components of the phone with its combined liquid cooling plate and liquid cooling pipe.

Xiaomi's gaming smartphone comes with support for 27W fast charging on its 4000mAh battery. Black Shark 2 also features the in-display fingerprint scanner. Magic Press is another first for Xiaomi's 2019 highlight which allows the user to customize the screen touch control. This feature allows users to achieve different on-screen actions depending on the pressure applied to the screen.

Black Shark 2 will come in two colors, the Frozen Silver and Shadow Black and will be out in the market on March 22. The gaming smartphone will be out internationally with India as the only confirmed first market as of the moment.
