Samsung has already made big news with the Galaxy S10 line and the upcoming foldable, Galaxy Fold. Now, a new report reveals something big that the Korean tech giant has ever done before.

According to Korean financial news website The Bell (via BGR), Samsung plans to release two Galaxy Note models this year. The main version will be mass-produced for sale in various countries around the world, and the second version will be on a limited run and will be sold to European markets only.

BGR notes that the second, for European market-only device, isn't a weaker version featuring the same sleek design. It's entirely a new Galaxy Note 10 model that will feature the same specs as the main, global version, but will be very different in a major way.

The Bell, citing knowledgeable sources in the supply chain, said Samsung is working on a smaller version of the Galaxy Note 10. This will be the first time the Korean giant will do this to their Galaxy Note phablet line.

Nothing is known about the smaller Galaxy Note 10 version, except that it has a smaller display, and that Samsung is sourcing parts for this version separately from the main version.

Forbes notes that this will be a good thing. The Galaxy S10 line, which is Samsung's finest at the moment, has a winner in the S10e, which is the weakest (and cheapest) among the three Galaxy S10 versions.

The Galaxy S10e doesn't have some features found in its bigger, beefier and more expensive siblings, but it remains a best-seller among many. It doesn't have the on-screen ultrasonic fingerprint reader and the three-camera setup that its brothers have, but it does have the lowest selling price among the three.

Despite lacking in these features, the Galaxy S10e is up to par with its siblings in the more important considerations, Forbes noted. It performs well, features good front-facing and rear-facing cameras, and despite having larger bezels, it still features an OLED display.

Based on the Galaxy S10e's current popularity and success among buyers, it's also likely for the smaller Galaxy Note 10 version to make it big among many consumers.

The Galaxy Note 10 is rumored to feature a quad-camera setup and might come with 5G capabilities. It might also feature an all-screen display like the Galaxy S10 line, but be more square-shaped, as is common with earlier Galaxy Note models.

So far, nothing has been confirmed about the Galaxy Note 10, especially the reportedly smaller version meant for European consumers. If Samsung releases it and makes huge profits off of it, chances are it will also be seen hitting stores in the U.S.
