Borderlands 3 will come with a cross-platform co-operative play as Microsoft Store revealed.

A recent update on the Microsoft Store listing revealed that Borderland 3 will have what fans had been wishing to have in a loot shooter. The awaited edition of Borderland which is set to be released on September 13 will have the cross-platform co-operative play.

The posting on the Microsoft Store setting about the Borderlands 3 cross-play co-op reference, however, was removed after a short period of time. It is still unknown why the feature was removed from the listing.

One possible cause that gamers are looking at for the removal of the Borderlands 3 co-op feature from the Microsoft Store listing is that the posting of the co-op feature was made by accident when the revelation of the feature is set for some other time in the future. Another possibility is the issue of exclusivity as the PC version of the Game of the Year edition was made exclusive for the Epic Game Store.

Whatever the reason for Microsoft for putting down the feature of cross-play co-op, Borderlands 3 players are hoping that it is not due to the cancellation of the cross-platform co-operative play. Gearbox Software, the company behind the Borderlands remains silent about the report.

As of the writing, there is still limited information about the details of the Borderlands 3, which is a first-person shooter game with the player taking the role of a Vault Hunter. The game's publisher representative released a statement on the game particulars saying that cross-play is something they are looking at closely, but don't have anything to confirm or announce at the moment.

For gamers who seem a bit excited about the Borderlands 3 release and cannot wait until its release on September, they may check out the Borderlands Game of the Year edition, a game recognized and recently rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board, a group that rate the games both in the US as well as other regions.

The release of Borderlands 3 which also supports the Xbox 360 saves is Gearbox next big step after its 2015 Borderlands: The Handsome Collection which included the Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel which was made available to Xbox One.

Gamers can now avail the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition in two ways. They can either purchase a physical copy at GameStop for $30 or they may avail the game digitally from the Microsoft Store.
