With Motorola announcing the advent of their budget-friendly P30 line last year, the U.S.-based consumer electronics maker is now on the verge of yet another follow-up. The Moto One, One Power and the China-exclusive P30 are sitting firmly in their shelves with the comfort of a concrete following and yet, Motorola feels the need to add one more line to the fold. Today, Phone Arena is on top of the new Moto line, revealing several photos of what looks like to be the Motorola P40 Play.

The 3D renders of the new Motorola Smartphone were leaked by resident tipster @OnLeaks through website CompareRaja. Considering that it's a budget phone, the P40 Play will blend in with other entry-level devices and will be endowed with "average" specifications. Phone Arena meanwhile pegs the Motorola P40 Play will have a 19:9 real estate in front and a dual-camera setup at the back. The renders also depict a waterdrop-like notch, thicker bezels and the doing away of Motorola's name from the chin of the handset.

As with most 3D renders, the images suggested a 360-degree view upcoming P40 Play. CompareRaja pits the screen to go around 5.6inches, while a 13megapixel dual camera setup will be positioned on the upper left corner of the device. The sensors are believed to be the same found in the Motorola One. The rear of the P40 Play will also house a LED flash, fingerprint sensor with the Motorola logo, while the volume rocker and power button are on the right pane of the Smartphone.

Underneath the Moto P40 Play is the traditional micro-USB charging port. There is no concrete information about the front snapper, but it should most likely be a 2megapixel variant with depth display. Up top is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Motorola P40 Play is budget friendly and as such, fans of the company should expect a polycarbonate shell rather than the more expensive glass enclosure found in Motorola's higher models.

The inside of the P40 Play should, if sources are to be believed, will be akin to a "repackaged Motorola One." By this, the future device could have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. There's also a strong indicator that the P40 Play will pair a 4GB and 64GB of internal memory, although these could be trimmed down to a subtle 3GB RAM and 32GB combo. An Android 9.0 Pie will power the Smartphone alongside a 3,000mAh battery. Price wise, the Motorola P40 Play will come around $200-$250, though Motorola has yet to announce a release date.
